Mikedesign started up in the year 1998 in Germany as a web design company. Things went pretty well for us, but everything changed when we bought our first mobile phone in 1999. It had a tiny black & white display and with a certain software you were able to change the
operator logo into a stunning 72x16 2bit graphic!
Our first tries to produce logo content were pretty frustrating, but within some weeks we discovered the secrets of the techniques that deliver good results.After the first collection of Nokia logos we added picture messages, then Siemens extra large logos.

In 2003 we started the first collections of coloured wallpapers and coloured animation content, which was a big step ahead because we were able to work with more user friendly applications like Adobe Photoshop instead of the jerky software that was binding to create the 2bit content.
Nowadays programs like Photoshop will only be used to give animations the final touch, everything else we create with 3D software like Cinema 4D, Lightwave and 3Ds max.
